How to claim medical expenses coverage?

Outpatient and emergency
With the conditions of different international business hours and long processing times, a hospital reserves the right by requiring patients to pay for a hospital expense by themselves. The hospital will prepare a medical certificate and receipt for patients to process the claim on their own

The patient must prepare the following documents to the hospital in order to collect your medical bills directly with the insurance company.
- Copy of passport
- Copy of insurance policy
- Tickets for arrivals and departures from the country

Important Note:
- The hospital reserves the right to consider accepting or rejecting guarantees coverage for the treatment of some companies.
- Most overseas insurance companies need at least 2 working days to proceed, if the patient discharges before the insurance company considers medical coverage, patients must pay and process the claim on their own



Social security office in Nathon

All those who are working and have a work visa are eligible for medical cover under the Thai social security system. To join you must make an application within 30 days from the date of employment. Submitting the application form along with a copy of your passport and work permit. Monthly contributions will be taken from your salary.

What is “Phor Ror Bor” ?

“Phor Ror Bor” refers to the compulsory motor insurance that all owners of motorbikes must pay for when they register their vehicles with the Department of Land Transport. There is a fine of 10,000 Baht for not having this insurance. Phor Ror Bor is often commonly referred to as a compulsory insurance.
